The Penn State Lady Lions (1-0) will look to tie the school record for consecutive non-conference home wins as they host Stony Brook Wednesday night at 7 p.m., at the Bryce Jordan Center. LAST TIME OUT: The Penn State Lady Lions used a dominating defensive performance to post a 56-42 victory over South Carolina in the season opener for both teams on Sunday. The Lady Lions held the Gamecocks to 25.5% shooting on the game and forced 20 turnovers in the win. Junior guard Tyra Grant led the Lady Lions on both sides of the ball as she had a game-high 17 points to go along with three rebounds and a steal. Senior guard Brianne O'Rourke added eight points, five assists and four rebounds, while sophomore post Janessa Wolff contributed eight points and five boards off the bench. 14 STRAIGHT NON-CONFERENCE WINS AT THE BJC: The Lady Lions have won their last 14 non-conference games at the Bryce Jordan Center, dating back to Dec. 22, 2005. The school record for consecutive non-conference home wins is 15, set from 1984-87. Penn State's last non-conference home loss was on Dec. 9, 2005 to Marquette (73-63).
