The University of Michigan women's basketball (2-2, 0-0 Big Ten) team heads to Mississippi for the Thanksgiving holiday, where it will participate in the Southern Mississippi Lady Eagle Classic. The Wolverines will open action against Belmont (2-1) on Friday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. (CT) before taking on either host Southern Mississippi (2-2) or Alcorn State (0-4) on Saturday, Nov. 29 with tipoff set for 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. (CT). Fans can catch all the action on WTKA AM 1050 on both days with Matt Park calling the action.

The Wolverines come into this week's Southern Mississippi Lady Eagle Classic having faced two of the three participants. Michigan took on both Southern Mississippi and Belmont last season. Michigan took on the Belmont Bruins in Vanderbilt's Thanksgiving tournament last season, an 80-43 Michigan win, and took on Southern Mississippi in the third round of the WNIT, a 59-45 Wolverine victory. The Wolverines have never faced Alcorn State but do have a 2-0 record against teams from the SWAC, previously defeating both Arkansas-Pine Bluff (11/11/06) and Grambling (11/24/90).
