Lady Lions Head to Malibu for the Timeout 4 HIV/AIDS Tournament

Penn State faces No. 8/5 Texas A&M Friday at 1 p.m. (Pacific)

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.; November 26, 2008 — The Penn State Lady Lions (3-1) will travel to Malibu, Calif., for Timeout 4 HIV/AIDS Tournament, hosted by Pepperdine University on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29. The Lady Lions will face #8/5 Texas A&M on Friday in the first game of the day at 1 p.m. (Pacific) before the host Waves take on Coppin State at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific). Penn State will play either Pepperdine or Coppin State on Saturday, based on the Lady Lions' outcome Friday evening. Saturday's games will take place at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. (Pacific) with the Waves play in the 3:30 game.

RADIO/WEB:
The game can be heard on the Penn State Sports Radio Network with Jerry Fisher (play-by-play) describing play. Friday's game will air locally WMAJ, while Saturday's contest will be broadcast locally on WRSC. The audio feed and a link to live stats are available at www.GoPSUSports.com.
 
LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions struggled to find their shooting touch all night as they shot just 30% from the field, including an 18.8% effort in the first half, en route to an 80-59 loss to Pittsburgh Monday. Junior Tyra Grant led the Lady Lions with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Janessa Wolff added eight points, six rebounds and two steals off of the bench. Senior Rashida Mark turned in a six-point, six-rebound performance in 16 minutes and Evelyn Lewis chipped in five points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the loss.
