MADISON, Wis. It was a complete team effort Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center as every single Badger that suited up played and 10 of the 12 players scored to help Wisconsin knock off Canisius, 69-54 in front of 4,878 fans. The Badgers have won their last two games and are 2-1 on the season while Canisius drops to 1-2. Statistically, the Badgers played their best game of the season and several Badgers finished with new career or season highs. Wisconsin shot 49.1 percent from the floor and was led by 16 points from freshman guard Jamie Russell. Russell went 6-10 on the afternoon and drained two 3-pointers for a new career high. Sophomore guard Alyssa Karel scored in double figures for the third straight game and finished with 10 points. Sophomore forward Tara Steinbauer chipped in a season-high nine points while junior guard Teah Gant added a season-best eight points and scored just her second career 3-pointer.
