ANAHEIM, Calif. - Two high-powered offenses showed up at the Anaheim Convention Center for the final game of the 2008 Disney’s Tip-Off Classic on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Bears (2-1) played possibly their finest game of the weekend, but a late slump led to a 77-60 University of Indianapolis (3-0) win.
The Golden Bears had their best offensive showing and played convincing defense against a highly talented U-Indy team. When Concordia’s offense was connecting on shots, the teams battled back and forth for the lead. But when shots ran amiss late in the game, the Greyhounds opened a lead and became the champions on the women’s side of the tournament.
