UW lives up to challenge, wins eighth-straight game

The Badgers notched a win for the Big Ten Conference and their seventh straight of the season Thursday night by defeating Virginia Tech, 61-52 at the Kohl Center. Wisconsin's win gives the Big Ten just its second win in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge with two more games to play Friday night. The win also puts the Badgers (7-1) in the record books as the team has now won seven straight games for the sixth time in school history, the last seven-game streak coming during the 2001-02 season. The Badgers went on to win 15-straight games that season.
