Emmy-Winning “Courtside with Coquese” Returns in January

A special webisode of "Courtside" is available on GoPSUsports.com, LadyLions.com and Comcast Video On-Demand UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; December 26, 2008 — Fans will be able to get a behind the scenes look at the Lady Lion Basketball program when the second season of the Emmy-winning "Courtside with Coquese" begins on Friday, Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. WPSU-TV. The show, which will be the first of eight this season, will re-air on WPSU at 10:30 a.m. on Sat., Jan. 10 and on the Big Ten Network at 9:30 a.m., on Sun., Jan. 11. Fans will have a first look at "Courtside with Coquese" with a special webisode that is available on GoPSUsports.com, LadyLions.com and Comcast Video On-Demand.   "Courtside with Coquese", which is produced by Penn State Public Broadcasting (WPSU) in conjunction with the athletic department, takes viewers on an all-access tour of the Lady Lion program including road trips, locker room access, feature stories, game highlights and player interviews.   A full list of the season's airdates is listed below. Following the Illinois game, the Lady Lions travel to Minnesota for a New Year's Day contest before returning to the BJC to meet Michigan (Sun., Jan. 4) and Indiana (Sun., Jan. 11). The game can be seen on www.bigtennetwork.com. The first two Pink Zone events have raised more than $50,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Penn State Hershey Breast Cancer Institute, the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
