Mascot Challenge Created to Raise Funds for The Salvation Army

The Intercollegiate Athletic Departments at Concordia College , Minnesota State University, Moorhead and North Dakota State University have come up with a creative way to raise funds for The Salvation Army of Fargo-Moorhead during the holiday season.   The mascot from each of the universities -- Thundar from NDSU, the Dragon from MSU, Moorhead and The Kernel from Concordia -- will be on hand at the West Acres Shopping Center main entrance from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20.   Put on your school colors and come support Concordia , Minnesota State, Moorhead and North Dakota State by making a donation in 'their kettle'.   All funds raised will be used to meet the needs of families and individuals in Cass and Clay counties during the year ahead.   For more information, contact Troy Goergen, NDSU associate athletic director for marketing, at (701) 231-7811.
