Penn State Announces Lady Lion Basketball Holiday Deals

Fans can take advantage of several ticket deals for the Lady Lions' first four Big Ten home games

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; December 19, 2008 — Penn State announced a series of Lady Lion Basketball Holiday Deals for the women's basketball team's first four Big Ten home games. The Lady Lions are home for four of their first five Big Ten Conference games as they face Michigan State (Sunday, Dec. 21 at noon), Illinois (Sunday, Dec. 28 at noon), Michigan (Sunday, Jan. 4 at 2 p.m.) and Indiana (Sunday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.).
 
Lady Lion Basketball Holiday Deals include:
 
"BE OUR STUDENT SECTION" SEASON TICKET HOLDER EXCHANGE: With the students on break, Lady Lion basketball season ticket holders can exchange their season tickets for a seat in Section 124 to become the Lady Lion "student section" at any of the following games: Michigan State (Sun., Dec. 21), Illinois (Sun., Dec. 28), Michigan (Sun., Jan. 4) and Indiana (Sun., Jan. 11). The tickets that are exchanged will not be resold and instead will be distributed to youth organization in the area.
 
FREE YOUTH TICKET WITH PURCHASE OF AN ADULT TICKET: Fans will receive a free youth ticket with the purchase of a full price adult ticket at the Michigan State (Sun., Dec. 21), Illinois (Sun., Dec. 28) and Michigan (Sun., Jan. 4) games. This ticket deal cannot be combined with any other offer.
 
FIRST NIGHT TICKET DISCOUNT: Fans wearing the official "First Night" button to the Dec. 28 game against Illinois will receive $5 admission at the door.
 
FACULTY/STAFF GAMES: Fans who present a valid Penn State Faculty/Staff ID will receive admission for $5 for either the Jan. 4 game against Michigan or the Jan. 11 contest versus Indiana.
 
SUBWAY FULL COURT 4-PACK: Fans will have the opportunity to take part in one of the best deals in college basketball with the "Subway Full Court 4-Pack," which will be offered at the Illinois (Sun., Dec. 28), Michigan (Sun., Jan. 4) and Indiana (Sun., Jan. 11) games. The "Subway Full Court 4-Pack" includes: Four (4) reserved game tickets, a voucher for four (4) soft drinks redeemable at the Jordan Center and a voucher for four (4) 6-inch subs redeemable at any of seven State College area Subway locations all for just $40. The voucher is not valid at the Bryce Jordan Center Subway location.
 
Penn State returns home for its Big Ten opener against Michigan State on Sunday, Dec. 21 at noon, a game that can be seen on the Big Ten Network. The PSU-MSU game is High School team day for the Lady Lions and fans will also receive a commemorative photo while supplies last. The Lady Lions will also face Illinois in the "Operation Warm" game for this season on Sunday, Dec. 28 at noon.  The game against the Illini is also a Subway Full Court 4-Pack day. The 2009 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State proudly supported by Mimi
Barash Coppersmith (formerly known as THINK PINK Day) will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m., as the Lady Lions take on Iowa in the Bryce Jordan Center. The game can be seen on www.bigtennetwork.com. The first two Pink Zone events have raised more than $50,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Penn State Hershey Breast Cancer Institute, the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
