Hi guys from community Hoops,
I would be happy to weigh in on how you did for all three of the Hopkins games. overall, your location helped keep you away from the noise of the announcer, as well as a lot of the benches. (not too much of the "ball, ball, ball " from the Hopkins bench.) You did a good job of keeping up with the players, as well as mentioning the score and time amid the breaks in the game. That was already way better than the old Gopher women's play by play chick. I felt you also did a good job of being objective in regards to the refs and the two teams. i.e. you mentioned how hard Burnsville was continually fighting in the Hopkins game...you were spot on...they hustled big time and beat Hopkins on the boards.

All in all you respected the players and the coaches. Too many times when I hear men call women's games, they sound incredulous on the talent, the fundamentals, etc. It was clear you love this level.

My only complaint will get better in time. When certain players were at the line, or during breaks in the contest, I felt I wanted more of the background on players. Tayler hill is at the line and you could say she currently averages 21.7 in scoring and has been a starter for four years.
or maybe something like Steph Sension is the second leading scorer and will be attending Air Force.

you had great background on the coaches....maybe a little more on the players? But for having to be smart on all the games and teams, I felt you did a very good job. It was fun to re-listen to the games, and my family is out of town, so it made it extra fun to them to catch up on their granddaughter's game when they couldn't be there in person.
