Emily Fox scored 15 points in the victory and in the process surpassed former Gopher standout Kelly Roysland for 12th place on the Gopher's all time scoring list.
The Gopher's took command early with aggressive defensive pressure in the first half. Scoring easy fast break baskets on ND State turnovers. North Dakota State made it a closer game in the second half, closing to within 10 points taking advantage of sloppy Gopher play. The deeper Gopher bench made a difference down the stretch.
The Gophers were led led in scoring by Katie Ohm with 17 points. Freshman Kiara Buford scored 8 points coming off the bench hit both of hr 3 point attempts and had a steal and a block.
