Well both teams got what they were looking for, a great workout against somebody other than themselves.....and it showed.
The University of Minnesota Gophers showed fans an up tempo style of play that has not been around in the Borton era. A majority of the turnovers can be attributed to "timing issues" as well as on floor combinations that will be adjusted before the real games start.
For the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears, well it was at least a half that they were glad to get out of their system. For the first 9 minutes only 1 basket went in out of 13 attempts - 6/28 for the half. Outside of that the Bears looked like they were ready to make a run at the D2 National Championships again this season.
Please note that beginning with the Non-Exhibition games we can no longer provide complete post game comments given to the general media pool for the Gopher games. We will however provide a link to the service that will make this available to fans with every game posting. We will also try to visit with Coach Borton & players after each Game for some One on One comments.
